Friday Favorites

It's that time of the week again, Friday Favorites! This week I wanted to do something a little different and show you some of my favorite fall outfit inspirations from Pinterest. So I know it is still really hot in a lot of areas of this country, but this time of year, as kids start heading back to school, I really get anxious for fall to come. So naturally I have been pinning lots of fall things. Here are some of my favorite outfit ideas for fall.

Friday Favorites

ONE

Day Designer Planner

I picked up one of these at Target last week and it has been an awesome planner! I love the neat pattern and the clean graphics. It really keeps everything neat and organized the way I like it. Bonus is that it was only $8! Very reasonable compared to some other planners.

It has a month outlook page.

And it also has each week with lots of space to write what is happening that day on the left side and things that need to get done on the right side. Perfect!

Sawyer Bootie from Target

I just picked these up today from Target. I have found Target boots to be extremely comfortable (more comfortable than some of my $150 boots I've bought elsewhere) so when I found out these are 20% off right now, I stopped by our local Target to pick some up. How cute will these be with some skinny jeans and a sweater this fall?!

Our annual beach vacation was this past week and definitely a favorite.

This week we also got to spend some time back at our second home, the summer camp Mike and I met at 9 summers ago. We have so many wonderful memories from our time at camp. We even got engaged at camp. It was so surreal bringing our daughter here for a visit. Definitely a highlight of the week! 

FIVE

Fall clothes.

My Pinterest is filled with a whole bunch of fall fashion inspiration. It is around this time of year, I start looking forward to cooler days bundled up in a sweater and boots. I look forward to the fall so much!

Friday Favorites

 This week has been a lot of normal days, but come this weekend we are in a whirlwind for almost three weeks. Vacations, trips to camp, seeing friends & family, and a tag sale thrown in there should make for some hectic days, but we are really looking forward to them! Here's some favorites from this week!

ONE

I was at Target this week and Luvs diapers (their biggest box) are $25 each. If you buy two, you get a $10 Target gift card. So really they are $40 for two. I thought this was a great deal and wanted to pass it on to all of you! I may or may not have used the gift card to buys some awesome coral nail polish ;).

TWO

Speaking of nail polish, I just bought a new shade called Tart Deco by Essie. It is this amazing coral-like color and perfect for summer (and with a good tan!). I've been wearing it on my fingers and toes. You can find it at Target, HERE.

THREE

If you missed it, I did a show & tell home tour this week. It was a lot of fun sharing & seeing everyone's homes. It gives me some awesome decorating ideas!

FOUR

It has been hot, hot, hot here this week, so we've been hitting the beach a lot. We've gone with Mike a few times and one day we were already there at 8:30 in the morning because the temp was already mid-80's. The ocean is my happy place, so being there everyday has been wonderful. Spending time with my girl & Mike at the beach is definitely a favorite.

FIVE

We were at our friends house this week for a play date and she had this awesome pool for the kids to play in. How fun does this look? You can find a similar one on Amazon HERE.

Friday Favorites

Yay, it's Friday! This week has been a blur of fun in the sun with our friends and one of those weeks you want to pause and hold on to. I have come across some really wonderful things this week that I'd like to share with you.

ONE

This mom & former model turned entrepreneur started her own blog with healthy recipes for your whole family that the kids will actually eat! Ry is definitely a picky eater (especially when it comes to veggies!) so I am so happy I found her blog.

TWO

During my quiet time recently, I have been reading devotionals on Megan Breedlove's site, Manna for Moms HERE. She is also the author of Chaotic Joy, which I haven't read yet but plan on reading. Well, THIS devotional that I read this week really hit close to home for me. It's about how destructive mommy guilt can be and how looking at it through God's perspective can totally reshape you mind and attitude when you worry about whether you are doing right by your children. I definitely needed that this week (God always knows).

THREE

FOUR

This week, I had the opportunity to go out to dinner with some of my friends on two different nights. We went and had some dinner & drinks at some really great restaurants in the area. We spend a lot of time together, but usually with our kids in tow, so it is always nice to spend together sans kids. I am so grateful for the friendships I have made since moving here. I am so thankful to have friends like these women who really make life that much nicer!

FIVE

On Monday, I posted an awesome tutorial for wine bottle chalk messages. It is a really simple DIY (just takes time to let them dry in between steps), but would make the perfect wedding table decor, or home decor! You can find the tutorial HERE.

Friday Favortites

Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite things from this week. Here's what I am loving!

ONE

Spending quality time with these two is always a favorite from my week. Ry and Mike have such a special bond, and I am seeing it more and more as she grows. Another favorite is new traditions. We went to a 4th of July parade this year with Ry. I love creating memories around special holiday traditions with our little family. I hope she looks back and remembers these types of things with fondness.

TWO 

On Monday, I shared some tips that have helped me manage laundry. It has taken a lot of the headache out of laundry day. Definitely a favorite! You can read about it HERE.

THREE

THESE bibs for Riley.

I ordered them off Amazon for $8 and I love them. She is at the age where she is practicing using utensils so a lot of food ends up all over. These bibs don't have an cloth material which makes them the perfect, easy to rinse off bib and the catch pocket in the front does its job well. I love all the fun patterns on them. I am using two of them now and will replace them with the other two once the first two are ready to be thrown away. Perfect!

FOUR

THIS  Essie color is awesome. It's called Peach Side Babe, a new summer 2015 color. I'm all about the coral-like colors this summer. It looks good on toes and fingers, especially with a tan ;).

FIVE

On the Today Show, as part of their Summer of Secrets series, this week they shared the Secrets to Happiness. Hoda shared 5 things that she does everyday that have made her happier, by gaining new perspective on life. You can read about it HERE. I'm going to start doing this in the morning when I am having my quiet time. You should join me!

Yay! Another Friday Favorites & Five on Friday! Let's get started!

ONE

Our trip to Virginia was definitely a highlight of our week! You can read all about it HERE.

TWO

The 4th of July is right around the corner and earlier this week I shared some of my favorite 4th of July pins from Pinterest. I included a lot of party decor & food. All of which are low cost & simple. Perfect for a low maintenance party! You can read about it HERE.

THREE

Another favorite of mine right now is white shorts! They are so fun for summer and are really very versatile. Check out my post with three different ways to wear them this summer HERE.

FOUR

The Supreme Court ruling marriage equality nationwide was of course a favorite from my week. I believe that God loves all of his children. God made each person in His image. Who are we to tell someone they can't marry who they love. What a monumental day!

FIVE

So the other day, I was looking through old videos that we have taken since Ry was born. I stumbled upon this one from the fall when she had just started crawling. It's crazy how much they grow and change in such a short time! It's so fun to look back!

SIX

A blogger that I follow has written recently about a woman named Ashleigh who she has come to know in the past few months who is fighting for her life as she battles with breast cancer. You can read Andrea's original post about it HERE. I can't begin to imagine what they are going through, but Ashleigh's strength and faith is inspiring. Andrea started a booster fund for Ashleigh and her family, where you can purchase a shirt and all of the funds raised through shirt purchases will go to Ashleigh and her family. Please take a minute to read Ashleigh's story and if you feel led to buy, you can purchase a shirt HERE. I love how many people are rallying behind Ashleigh and her family!

Friday Favorites

ONE

The dark chocolate covered acai & blueberry gummies. A handful of these has been my dessert the past few days and I love them. The perfect little treat with my glass of wine ;).

TWO

Beach days with my girl has definitely been a favorite.

THREE

Strawberry picking with friends was so much fun this week. Spending time with mama friends and their adorable kiddos is always a favorite.

FOUR

Fun Summer shorts is a favorite this week. I have been living in them. They are fun but easy and the perfect everyday outfit. I posted about where I got them on Monday. You can find the post HERE.

FIVE

I love Taylor Swift's music (so does Riley). I love her even more for who she is as a person and all the wonderful, selfless things she does for others. She really cares about her fans and just people in general. Her letter to Apple, Inc. was spot on and made me love her even more. Definitely a favorite from my week.
