Good morning everyone! I am a little behind the curve on Show and Tell Tuesdays. I am just discovering this linky party now and I LOVE this idea and wanted to play a little catch up on some topics this week. So today, I am going to share my Groundhog Day with you. Basically, if I had one day to repeat over and over again what would it be.
I've got to tell you, I am not sure I could pick one day. The birth of my daughter and my wedding day were both memorable but to be honest, I would probably pick a low-key day with my family and friends. Here's how my day would go..
I would start my day like every other day. I would wake up around 5:30 am, make myself some coffee and have my quiet time.
Then I would blog, workout and get Riley up. I am always happiest when I feel productive.
After getting Riley up, we would play and eat breakfast together. Then, as a family of three, we would spend the morning down at the beach, relaxing and enjoying the sunny, breezy weather. We'd build sand castles and play in the waves. After rinsing off we'd enjoy lunch outdoors at a restaurant on the water.
Then we'd head home, Riley would nap and Mike and I would prep food for a cookout we are having later in the day. It would be a beautiful sunny afternoon. We'd make all of our favorites cookout foods; bbq chicken, corn on the cob, sweet tea, and fruit salad. After Riley's nap we'd grill outside and all of our family and friends would come over. The kids would run around and play, while the adults all relaxed and enjoyed each others company.
We'd end the night with a camp fire and making s'mores.
This post has definitely given me some perspective on the things that are most important to me. I love the simple and small moments in life and spending quality time with family and friends. And I am obviously daydreaming about summertime :). Even though it isn't summer just yet, I plan on spending more days like this with my loved ones. Life goes by too quickly.
Here's a look at what's coming up for Show and Tell Tuesdays!
Happy Tuesday!
