What we're eating this week...
Lots of summer crock pot meals. I love just throwing it in the crock pot in the morning and it's ready by dinner time. We can spend our time outside enjoying each other rather than spending a lot of time cooking in the kitchen.
One of our favorites is crock pot BBQ pulled chicken that I posted about a few weeks ago.
What I'm reminiscing about...
The wonderful few weeks we had with Mike while he was on break from teaching.
What I'm loving...
Riley's new Hanna Anderson pjs. We LOVE them. She already has a few of them and I can't get enough! They are soft and little wear and tear. They keep her comfy and I really love anything striped.
What we've been up to...
A lot of time with family at the lake.
Time with friends at camp.
Lots of beach days.
Strawberry picking with friends.
What I'm dreading...
Dentist appointments this month! I really don't like the dentist at all.
What I'm working on...
An inspiration board for the office. The idea is to fill it with anything that makes me feel good, empowers me, lights a fire in my heart, etc.
Here is what I am taking inspiration from.
What I'm excited about...
Spending time with my family this weekend! It is my niece's 2nd birthday so my parents, my older sister and I are driving down to VA for a long weekend.
Can't wait to celebrate this cutie!
What I'm watching/reading...
I'm reading Something Blue the sequel to Something Borrrowed by Emily Giffin.
It is the perfect Summer beach read. I would definitely read Something Borrowed first and then Something Blue so you know what is going on. I can't put these books down. They are so good!
You can find them both on Amazon for a great price. Something Borrowed & Something Blue.
Mike and I have been binge watching Game of Thrones. We are watching at least two every night. We are near the end of season 3 and all I have to say is "WHAT?!". I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but I literally yelled at the TV lol.
What I'm listening to...
I have been listening to a lot of Hillsong United during my quiet time in the morning. What a wonderful instrument they have to create such beautiful music.
What I'm wearing...
Lots of fun Summer shorts. Easy and simple.
What I'm doing this weekend...
Headed to VA with the fam!
What I'm looking forward to next month...
More time with friends and family. Mike starting his 6 weeks off from teaching. Play dates and beach days are on the agenda this month!
What else is new...
Riley is at the stage where she is very opinionated about what she eats. Try as I might she won't eat veggies unless they are in puree form in a pouch. She'll eat the occasional cucumber or avocado but that is it. I have been doing some research trying to find ways to incorporate more veggies into her diet without her knowing. Like sneaking them in smoothies, muffins, etc. I would love some advice on what worked for you and your kids.
What are we doing for 4th of July...
Going to a Farmer's Market in the morning then making some BBQ and enjoying the fireworks!
That is what is up this Wednesday!

I love all of your shorts! So cute and put together, yet super easy. Good luck with the veggies too...my kids' tastes have changed so much over the years, so you could have a full blown veggie eater on your hands at any point. Kids are so fickle!
ReplyDeleteHanna Andersson pj's are the best!
