Holiday Hair Bow Tutorial

I wanted to make Riley a hair bow to wear this fall, in particular for Halloween and Thanksgiving, and so I started to research and shop for hair bows. They were really rather cute, but I just couldn’t justify spending $10-$15 on them, so a Pinterest search on how to do them myself was in order. I found this idea from diynetwork.com and ran with it.

I didn’t want just a bow though, I wanted it attached to a headband. So I headed over to Dollar Tree. There I found a few headbands, some with bows, and decided on a white one. I also picked out 2 different kinds of Fall festive ribbon. (You will also need glue and scissors for the project).
I followed the tutorial above, gluing as a went to keep it secure, and then attached it to the headband. Here is how it came out! I spend a total of $3 for the headband and ribbon. Make it even cheaper by splitting ribbon with friends, or host a bow making party! And the best part is, it is simple to make more for any holiday. Next up..a Christmas bow!
